What's Happening in the Computer Lab

With 1:1 Chromebooks coming into our building next year we are starting to work on the skills necessary to be successful in that environment during our computer lab time.  Along with the skills we normally focus on, we are starting to incorporate more use of Canvas (our learning management system) and the GAFE (Google Apps for Education) suite.  If you are not familiar with learning management systems they help to reduce digital sprawl or the need to go to many different places online to gain access to our educational materials.  The LMS becomes a home base for the class, it enables students to access assignments, lessons, calendars, discussions, and handouts, turn-in assignments, interact with their classmates, and much more.
